Gozo Island of Myth Legends & MiraclesThe Gozo podcast intends to present the listener an overview of the life, character, charm and variations of the island of Gozo. With over 5000 years of history, Gozo has left an impression on those who have visited Gozo. It is an invitation to dedicate some of your time to experience the kindness of the Gozitans, a people, culture and a way of life that I'm sure you will treasure, and like Ulysses, you will not regret the time you spend listening to The Gozo podcast. The cave was sheltered by a thicket of alders and sweet-smelling cypresses, which was the roosting place of wide-winged birds, horned owls and falcons and cormorants with long tongues, birds of the coast, whose business takes them down to the sea. Trailing around the cavern's mouth was a thriving garden vine, with large bunches of grapes: from four separate neighbouring springs, four crystal rivulets channelled into running in different directions; and in soft meadows on either side, iris and wild celery flourished. It was a spot where even an immortal visitor must pause and take stock of life. The Odyssey, V.63-74, Bk. 5, Homer Welcome to Gozo!
