Emerging Markets was the buzzword amongst bullish investors in the early 2000s. Less so today, the Global South is struck by the effects of climate change, the covid pandemic and rising levels of inequality, but there is hope on the horizon. Scrappy entrepreneurs and their investors are building tremendous businesses from São Paulo to Mexico City to Lagos, Nairobi, Mumbai and Kuala Lumpur. This podcast is about them, their stories and how they are leapfrogging development in underserved ecosystems and by that fix some of the unresolved challenges we see on the ground. A new narrative, the fleet of Emerging Markets Enthusiasts that are propelling the Global South further towards a more equitable world, creating jobs, innovation and opportunities along the way. Hosted by Patrick Alex, Emerging Markets Enthusiast in his own right.
