Christy, an 18-year-old Vietnamese American, has been interrogated about her childhood all her life. She grew up as a Catholic, an ill child, and was raised by her grandparents. Although her upbringing was different and her daily schedule consisted of weekly doctor visits and medications, she still considers herself a normal teenage girl.
